If it's storage you are looking for, this classic barn style provides maximum headroom while still providing the benefits of a sloped roof (i.e. water runoff, reduced snow loads, etc.). With all the extra stuff that people accumulate, who wouldn't want to have this extra room.  This design is also well suited for older children who want their own space, or guest quarters for those relatives who just drop by for a week long visit. Until then, use it as your studio or just to escape.
