September 2009 Barn Of The Month

This month's featured barn is a 24' x 42' Country Workshop.  This classic New England barn style is a modern day version of the typical barn found on farms in the 1800's.  Overhead doors were wanted for convenience so our Door Facing Kits were put on each, consisting of Decorative Forged Iron hinge plates to provide the authentic barn door look.  Principal Purlins are featured on the second floor providing a great-room that can be used as living space, game room or storage. The 32-lite windows on the gable ends and 10-lite horizontal windows in the four-foot eave knee walls provide plenty of light to upstairs.
