 GENERAL COMMENTS

Jim,

The barn is doing just great, got three sides stained nicely with Barn Red stain. This summer I'll finish the back. Looks great w/ the green roof. Currently working on a few shelves for the inside to store stuff.

The most difficult part of the construction was the installation of the 12 - 8 x 8 supports and making sure that the supporting deck was level and robust. The rest of the barn construction was easy, (great plans and instructions).  You remember we built this on a hill side, which added another dimension to the project.

I am very pleased with the barn ( I have to call it a garden shed in my neighborhood to get local association approval). I have had numerous people stop on the island and ask to see it. They are impressed with the post and beam construction. I also like the storage under the barn that is available for firewood, and garden carts etc. Send me a few calling cards and I will be happy to distribute.

We plan on staining the barn this spring.

I will take a few digital shots if it is sunny this weekend and remember to give you a finished shot (stain) later this spring.

Hope all is well with your family and business.

Hello Mark !

I`m taking many pictures, didn`t know if you guys wanted progress photos but I`ll be happy to send them along.  Very pleased with the kit, nicely designed and produced.  The final drawings and the markings on the main structural members made it "easy" to assemble.   (Easy in the sense of following along but of course handling the timbers takes some physical effort ! ).

I will attach a few photos to an email a little later today.
